About This Scheme

The "Paddy Procurement Scheme 2012-13" by the Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Jharkhand, aims to procure paddy from farmers at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) to ensure fair compensation and food security. Through this scheme, farmers receive direct procurement services at predetermined MSP rates, minimizing exploitation by middlemen and ensuring timely payments.

Eligibility

1. The applicant should be a resident of Jharkhand state. 1. The applicant must be a registered farmer. 1. The applicant must cultivate paddy in the Kharif season of 2012-13. 1. The applicant must possess a valid landholding certificate or proof of cultivation. 1. Farmers associated with Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS) and Large Area Multipurpose Cooperative Societies (LAMPS) are eligible. NOTE: Preference is given to small and marginal farmers.

Benefits

- MSP is set at ₹1250/- per quintal for the "Common" grade. - MSP is set at ₹1280/- per quintal for "Grade A" paddy. NOTE: - Direct procurement of paddy from farmers at MSP. - Payment is made directly to farmers through designated agencies.
