About This Scheme

The “Scholarship for Ph.D. Students of Socially and Educationally Backward Classes” scheme was launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) students pursuing M.Phil. or Ph.D. to encourage higher education and research.

Eligibility

1. The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat. 1. The applicant should belong to the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC). 1. The applicant should be pursuing M.Phil or Ph.D at a recognized institution. 1. The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed ₹6,00,000/-.

Benefits

Scholarship Assistance: - ₹25,000/- for students pursuing M.Phil. - ₹1,00,000/- for students preparing Ph.D thesis.
