About This Scheme

The scheme "Small Business (GBCDC)" by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to provide financial assistance to the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) for undertaking small businesses like grocery store, dairy parlour, animal fodder sales centre, mobile-computer repairing shop, etc., for casual business. Through this scheme, a loan amount is provided at a low interest rate to promote self-employment among SEBC individuals across the state. The scheme is implemented by the Gujarat Backward Classes Development Corporation (GBCDC). Beneficiaries can apply online without any application fee through the official GBCDC portal.

Eligibility

1. The applicant should belong to a socially and educationally backward class. 1. The applicant's total annual individual/family income should not exceed ₹3,00,000/-. 1. The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat.

Benefits

1. Financial assistance in the form of a loan up to ₹2,00,000/-. 1. The loan can be utilised for starting small businesses such as grocery stores, dairy parlours, animal fodder sales centres, mobile and computer repairing shops, etc.
