About This Scheme
The scheme โLarge Cardamom Irrigation Land Development: Irrigation Equipment (Nos)โ is a component of the Integrated Scheme for Export Promotion and Quality Improvement in Spices and Research and Development of Cardamom implemented during the 15th Finance Commission period (2021โ22 to 2025โ26) under the Export-Oriented Production component. The scheme aims to motivate growers to bring more area under irrigation by supporting the construction of water storage structures, rainwater harvesting systems, and the installation of irrigation equipment, thereby increasing productivity and improving the quality of large cardamom.
Eligibility
1. The applicant should be a large cardamom grower located in Sikkim, Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts of West Bengal, or other North Eastern States. 1. The applicant should submit the application for consideration under the scheme in the prescribed format.
Benefits
1. 50 % of cost of equipment subject to a maximum of โน 15,000 for General and 75% subject to maximum of โน 20,000/- for SC/ST 1. Large cardamom growers having land holding size of 0.10 Ha to 8 Ha
