The scheme "Grant for the Marriage of Daughters of Destitute Widow" has been implemented by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand. Eligibility
1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand. 1. The applicant must be a destitute widow. 1. The widow must be receiving widow pension. 1. The family’s total monthly income from all sources must not exceed ₹4,000/-, or the family must belong to the BPL category. 1. At the time of marriage, the bride’s age must be between 18 and 45 years. 1. At the time of marriage, the groom’s age must be between 21 and 45 years. 1. The grant is applicable for the marriage of up to two daughters. Note: The Social Welfare Department verifies whether the widow is receiving widow pension or not.
Benefits
Grant Amount: ₹50,000/- per daughter, for the marriage of up to two daughters.
