Under the scheme, the target is to renovate 150.00 hectares of private ponds. > *Objectives:* - Increase Water Holding Capacity: Enhance the water holding capacity of private ponds to boost fish productivity and production. - Economic Benefits for Fish Farmers: Provide benefits to private fish farmers through the expansion/renovation of their ponds. > *Model of Pond Restoration:* - Model-1: Renovation of old private ponds (not renovated under any government scheme in the last five years).- Model-2: Renovation of private ponds constructed under government schemes (benefits payable after five years of construction).
Eligibility
1. The applicant should be a fish farmer. 1. The applicant should be private pond owners or lessees.
Benefits
Renovation of 150 hectares of private ponds with the following category-specific targets: - Other category beneficiaries: 86 hectares - Extremely backward castes: 27 hectares - Scheduled castes: 30 hectares - Scheduled tribes: 7 hectares Subsidy Details: - Unit cost: ₹ 6,00,000/- per hectare. - Subsidy: 30% for other categories, 40% for extremely backward castes/scheduled castes/tribes. NOTE: Subsidy disbursement in two installments based on completion of work.
