About This Scheme
The "Swami Vivekanand Scholarship for Technical Diploma in Professional Courses" scheme was launched by the Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat. It aims to promote educational development among scheduled tribe (ST) students by supporting them in technical and professional training. Under this scheme, stipends are provided to the students undergoing training in state government or government-recognized Private industrial training institutes (ITIs) and centers, enabling them to meet academic and living expenses.
Eligibility
1. The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat. 1. The applicant should be a student. 1. The applicant should belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. 1. The applicant should be enrolled in a state government industrial training institute (ITI), or a government-recognized Private ITI, or a recognized one-year professional course. 1. The applicant’s family annual income should not exceed ₹1,20,000 in rural areas. 1. The applicant’s family annual income should not exceed ₹1,50,000 in urban areas.
Benefits
- A monthly stipend of ₹400 for 12 months for the ITI and professional courses.
