About This Scheme

The scheme "Interest Free Loan Scheme To Teachers For The Purchase Of Laptops" was launched by the Directorate of Education, Government of Goa. The scheme aims to get full exposure to changing technology for teachers, who need to handle computers daily and enhance the quality of teaching through visual effects, Multimedia presentation, and Graphics in schools in the State of Goa. The scheme provides an Interest Free Loan up to a maximum of ₹1,00,000/- for the purchase of a Laptop, which is issued via Cheque through Messers Goa Education Development Corporation (GEDC), Government of Goa. The applications for this scheme are accepted through the respective educational institution and subsequently forwarded to the Directorate of Education.

Eligibility

- The applicant must be a regular/permanent full-time teacher. - The applicant must be teaching in Secondary schools or Higher Secondary schools. - The applicant must be working in a Government school or in a Government Aided school. - The applicant must be covered under the Administrative control of the Directorate of Education in the State of Goa.

Benefits

- An Interest Free Loan up to a maximum amount of ₹1,00,000/- is granted for the purchase of a Laptop. - The loan is disbursed in the form of a Crossed Cheque. - The Cheque is drawn in favor of the dealer. - The Cheque is issued through Messers Goa Education Development Corporation (GEDC), Government of Goa. *Conditions* - _The purchase of the Laptop must be made from any registered or authorized dealer of the branded manufacturer._ - _The Cheque amount sanctioned shall not exceed the maximum amount of ₹1,00,000/-._
