About This Scheme

The “Financial Assistance for Funeral Expenses” scheme by the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Labour Department, Jammu and Kashmir, is a welfare program for registered workers. Under this scheme, ₹5,000/- is provided as funeral assistance to the nominee or legal heir upon the death of the registered worker.

Eligibility

1. The applicant must be the nominee or legal heir of the deceased worker. 1. The deceased worker must have been registered with the Jammu and Kashmir Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. 1. The deceased worker must have been an active member of the Board at the time of death. 1. The scheme can be applied for only once.

Benefits

₹5,000/- is provided as funeral assistance.
