About This Scheme
The "Janani Suraksha Yojana" was launched by the Department of Public Health and Medical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to promote institutional deliveries among pregnant women to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality by providing cash incentives to women delivering in government and accredited private hospitals, as well as to motivators (ASHA workers or family escorts) who assist them.
Eligibility
1. The applicant must be a resident of Madhya Pradesh. 1. The applicant should be a pregnant woman. 1. The applicant should deliver in a government or accredited private hospital. 1. The applicant should belong to a BPL (Below Poverty Line) or Antyodaya family.
Benefits
> Financial Assistance: - ₹1,400 to rural pregnant women delivering in government or accredited private hospitals. - ₹1,000 to urban pregnant women for institutional delivery. - ₹350 incentive to the motivator (ASHA or escort) assisting a rural woman for delivery. - ₹200 incentive to the motivator (ASHA or escort) assisting an urban woman for delivery. - ₹250 as transport allowance, if the motivator or family arranges transportation to the hospital. - Free hospital stay and maternal health services in government or accredited private hospitals.
