About This Scheme

The "Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS)" is a social welfare initiative by the Department of Social Security and Development of Women and Children, Government of Punjab. In this scheme, persons aged between 60 and 79 years receive a pension of ₹200/- per month, while those aged 80 years and above receive ₹500/- per month. The scheme applies only to persons belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.

Eligibility

1. The applicant should be a resident of Punjab. 1. The applicant should be 60 years of age or older. 1. The applicant should be from a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family. 1. The applicant should not be receiving pension benefits under any social security scheme.

Benefits

- ₹200/- month, for persons aged 60 to 79 years. - ₹500/- month, for persons aged 80 years and above.
