The "Livelihood Opportunity Promotion Scheme (Scheduled Tribe)" scheme was launched by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to promote sustainable self-employment and income generation among Scheduled Tribe individuals by supporting viable livelihood projects. Under this scheme, financial assistance, including a bank loan is provided to the beneficiaries for setting up income-generating units with a total project cost between ₹50,000 and ₹2,00,000.
Eligibility
1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand. 1. The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. 1. The applicant's age must be between 18 and 50 years. 1. The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed ₹2,50,000/-.
Benefits
> Financial Assistance: - Project Cost: Between ₹50,000/- and ₹2,00,000/-. - Bank Loan: 60% of the project cost - Margin Money: 30% of the project cost, repayable at 7% annual interest in 60 monthly installments - Grant: Up to ₹50,000/-. > Beneficiary Contribution: - No contribution for project cost up to ₹1,00,000/- - 10% contribution for project cost between ₹1,01,000/- and ₹2,00,000/-
