The scheme "Bakri Palan Yojana" was introduced by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Uttarakhand. Eligibility
1. The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand. 1. The applicant must belong to the General, Scheduled Caste, or Scheduled Tribe category. 1. The applicant must be included in the SECC (Socio-Economic and Caste Census) category. 1. The applicant should have an interest in goat rearing.
Benefits
- Self-employment in goat rearing is facilitated by providing beneficiaries with a goat unit comprising 10 female goats and 1 male goat for a period of 10 to 14 months. - The total cost of the unit is ₹70,000/-, of which 90% (₹63,000/-) is funded by the State Government, and the remaining 10% (₹7,000/-) is contributed by the beneficiary.
