About This Scheme
The scheme “Mukhyamantri Udeeyman Khiladi Unnayan Chhatravriti Yojana” was launched by the Department of Sports, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote sports among talented children aged 8 to 14 years in Uttarakhand by providing monthly scholarships.
Eligibility
1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand. 1. The applicant must be a boy or girl between 8 and 14 years of age. 1. The boy or girl who obtain the highest marks based on merit in the final district-level competition, conducted through various stages of the Physical and Sports Aptitude Test (P-SAT) assessing physical abilities such as strength, flexibility, endurance, speed, and coordination, will be eligible for the sports scholarship.
Benefits
- Under this scheme, players aged 8 to 14 years are selected every year on the basis of the Physical and Sports Aptitude Test (P-SAT). - From each district, 150 boys and 150 girls are selected (25 boys and 25 girls from each age group: 8–9 years, 9–10 years, 10–11 years, 11–12 years, 12–13 years, and 13–14 years). - Each selected player is awarded a scholarship of ₹1,500/- per month for one year.
