About This Scheme
The scheme "Kalyana Lakshmi Pathakam" was launched in 2014 by the Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Telangana, aims to alleviate financial distress in SC/ST and minority families by providing financial assistance to unmarried girls at the time of marriage. this scheme, a one-time financial assistance of ₹1,00,116 (₹1,25,145 for disabled girls) is provided to eligible girls at the time of marriage.
Eligibility
1. The applicant should be an unmarried girl belonging to the SC/ST/BC/EBC community. 1. The applicant should be a resident of Telangana. 1. The applicant should be 18 years of age at the time of marriage. 1. The applicant's marriage should be scheduled on or after October 2, 2014. 1. The applicant’s parental income should not exceed ₹2,00,000/- per annum. > Note: Enhanced financial support is available for disabled girls under Section 24(1) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
Benefits
1. One-time financial assistance of ₹1,00,116/- for unmarried SC/ST and minority girls at the time of marriage. 1. One-time financial assistance of ₹1,25,145/- for disabled girls, irrespective of caste, under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. 1. The amount is directly credited to the bride’s bank account. 1. Only one-time assistance is allowed in a lifetime.
