Bhed Palan Yojana
About This Scheme
The scheme "Bhed Palan Yojana" was introduced by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote sheep rearing as a source of self-employment and livelihood generation for eligible beneficiaries, particularly from SECC categories, by providing financial support for rearing a sheep unit.
Eligibility
1. The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand. 1. The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category. 1. The applicant must be included in the SECC (Socio-Economic and Caste Census) category. 1. The applicant should have an interest in sheep rearing.
Benefits
- Self-employment in sheep rearing is facilitated by providing beneficiaries with a sheep rearing unit comprising 10 female sheep and 1 male sheep for a period of 10 to 14 months. - The total cost of the unit is ₹70,000/-, of which 90% (₹63,000/-) is funded by the State Government, and the remaining 10% (₹7,000/-) is contributed by the beneficiary.
