About This Scheme

The scheme "Pension Scheme for Destitute Transgender" was launched by the Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department, Government of Tamil Nadu. The scheme aims to help poor transgender who are above the age of 40 years and are unable to earn their livelihood. Interested and eligible applicants should apply via Common Service Centres (CSC).

Eligibility

1. The applicant should be Transgender. 1. The applicant should be destitute. 1. The applicant's age should be 40 years and above. 1. The applicant should be physically unable to work and earn. 1. The applicant should not have received assistance from any family member or other sources.

Benefits

- Pension of ₹ 1,000/- per month.
