Educational Assistance (ANBOCWWB)
About This Scheme
The scheme āEducational Assistanceā was started by the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (ANBOCWWB), Department of Labour, Employment & Training, Andaman & Nicobar Administration. Under this scheme, an educational allowance will be provided to the son or daughter of a registered construction worker who is studying in any class from Class I to Post Graduate Level/Professional Course.
Eligibility
1. The applicant should be a resident of the Union territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. 1. The applicant should be engaged in any building & other construction work. 1. The applicant should be registered under the A&N Islands Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. 1. The applicant should have an active membership of the Board. 1. The son or daughter of the applicant/registered worker should be enrolled in any grade from Class I to Post Graduate Level/Professional Course.
Benefits
> Education Allowance shall be provided at the following rates: Sl. No.Class/CourseAmount of Educational Assistance1Class 1 to 5ā¹300/- per month2Class 6 to 8ā¹400/- per month3Class 9 to 12ā¹700/- per month4Diploma/Graduate Studiesā¹900/- per month5Vocational Training through ITIā¹900/- per month6Post Graduate Studiesā¹2,000/- per month7MBBS/BEMBBS/BE/Professional Course the Board shall incur the entire cost of study for meritorious students, on a case to case basis subject to approval of Andaman & Nicobar Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
