The Arts and Culture Department, Puducherry launched the scheme "Financial Assistance to Indigent Tamil Scholars". The scheme aims to provide financial assistance of ₹1,500/- per month to indigent artists aged 58 years and above and contribution to Tamil language and literature must be of significance.
