About This Scheme

The scheme “Inter-Village Road Construction Scheme on Contributory Basis” is a sub-component of the District Plan, implemented by the Department of Sugarcane Development and Sugar Industry, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to facilitate the easy and timely transportation of sugarcane from farms to purchasing centers and sugar mills by improving inter-village road connectivity in sugarcane-growing areas.

Eligibility

1. The beneficiaries of the scheme shall be farmers, sugarcane societies, and sugar mills involved in the transportation of sugarcane within Uttarakhand.

Benefits

Under the scheme, efforts are made to facilitate the transportation of sugarcane from farms to purchasing centers for farmers and to ensure the supply of fresh sugarcane to sugar mills. Of the total expenditure on the selected routes, 75% is borne through a government grant, while the remaining 25% is contributed by the beneficiary institutions.
