Prof. Joseph Mundassery Scholarship Award
About This Scheme
The scheme "Prof. Joseph Mundassery Scholarship Award" was introduced by the Department of Minority Welfare, Government of Kerala. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to financially backward students from minority communities. Through this scheme, financial assistance in the form of scholarship amounts is provided to eligible students from Christian, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh, Muslim, and Parsi communities to pursue higher education. The scheme is implemented by the Department of Minority Welfare, Government of Kerala.
Eligibility
- The applicant must be a permanent citizen of Kerala. - The applicant must belong to a minority community (Christian, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh, Muslim, or Parsi). - The applicant shall be from a below-poverty-line family. - The applicant shall be studying in any government school. - The annual income of the candidate’s family must be below ₹8,00,000/- per year. - The applicant pursuing SSLC, Plus Two, or Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) level must have a Full A+ grade to avail the scholarship. - The applicant pursuing undergraduate studies must have 80% marks to avail the scholarship. - The applicant pursuing postgraduate studies must have 75% marks to avail the scholarship.
Benefits
- The students who score an A+ in Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC)/Plus Two (12) or Technical High School Leaving Certificate(THSL) will get ₹10,000/-. - The undergraduate students with 80% marks will get ₹15,000/-. - The postgraduate student with 75% marks will get ₹15,000/-.
