About This Scheme
The “Financial Assistance for Vocational Training of Widows of Ex-Servicemen (ESM)” scheme has been launched by the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to widows of ex-servicemen to help them become self-reliant through vocational training. The scheme is implemented by the Kendriya Sainik Board.
Eligibility
1. The applicant should be a widow of an ex-serviceman (ESM). 1. The applicant’s spouse should be of rank up to Havildar or equivalent. 1. The applicant should have completed vocational training from a recognized institution. 1. The applicant should have relevant spouse details recorded in the service book of the ESM. 1. The applicant should be recommended by the respective Zila Sainik Board (ZSB) and Rajya Sainik Board (RSB).
Benefits
> Financial Assistance - For vocational training, AFFDF is provided as a one-time aid of ₹50,000/- (max) on successful completion of said vocational training.
