About This Scheme
The āIntegrated Pest Management Demonstration Cum Trainingā scheme by the Agriculture-Farmers Welfare Department, Tamil Nadu, supports pest management practices through demonstrations and training in Farmer Field Schools. Financial assistance is granted for each 40-hectare demonstration and training cluster. The scheme aims to enhance pest control knowledge among farmers, helping them manage pests effectively while reducing reliance on chemical pesticides.
Eligibility
> For Farmer: - The beneficiary should be a Farmer. - The beneficiary should be a resident of Tamil Nadu. - The beneficiary should be willing to adopt Integrated Pest Management practices. > For Farmer Field Schools: - The entity/organization should be a Farmer Field School. - The entity/organization should be interested in conducting a Demonstration and Training program for the Farmers.
Benefits
- For Farmer Field Schools: Financial Assistance: Grants of ā¹17,000/- is allowed towards Demonstration of 40 Ha. each and Training per Farmers Field School through cluster approach. - For Farmers: Training & Demonstration: Hands-on training in pest management through Farmer Field Schools.
