About This Scheme
The “State Government-Run Old Age and Infirm Homes” scheme has been launched by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide shelter and essential care to destitute elderly residents of the state. Under this scheme, senior citizens are provided free accommodation, meals, clothing, and healthcare in state-run residential facilities. Currently, two homes are operational in the districts of Chamoli & Bageshwar.
Eligibility
1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand. 1. The applicant should be a male or female. 1. The applicant's age must be 60 years or above. 1. There is no income ceiling for eligibility. 1. The applicant must not have a communicable disease (certified by a government doctor).
