About This Scheme

The "Mukhyamantri Shramik Yojana" scheme by the Urban Development & Housing Department, Government of Jharkhand aims to provide guaranteed employment to unskilled workers residing in urban areas. Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive up to 100 days of employment per financial year in various urban development projects.

Eligibility

1. The applicant should be an unskilled worker willing to work in urban areas. 1. The applicant must be a resident of Jharkhand and living in an urban local body (own/rented/slum) since before April 1, 2015. 1. The applicant should be 18 years or older. 1. The disabled person, women in special circumstances, and senior citizens above 65 years are also eligible to apply.

- Guaranteed wage employment for a maximum of 100 days per financial year. - Improvement in living standards of urban poor families. - Employment opportunities in urban development projects like housing, sanitation, and road construction. - Ensuring social security for urban workers. - Contribution to urban cleanliness and green city initiatives. *Job Card Issuance:* - Job cards can be obtained online, through community resource persons, urban local body offices, or ward-level camps. - Job card valid for 3 years with provisions for member addition/removal. *Job Allocation Process:* - Workers can demand work online or through community resource persons. - Employment is assigned within 15 working days. - Job allocation details are sent via SMS and can be accessed on the portal.
