About This Scheme
The scheme "Destitute Widow Pension Scheme" has been launched by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to help destitute widows meet their basic needs and improve their quality of life. Under this scheme, a monthly pension is provided to widows whose family monthly income is up to ₹4,000/- or who belong to the BPL category, and who are not availing of any other pension benefits.
Eligibility
1. The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand. 1. The applicant must be a widow. 1. The widow must be at least 18 years of age. 1. The widow’s family monthly income should not exceed ₹4,000/-, or she must possess a valid BPL (Below Poverty Line) certificate. 1. The widow must not be receiving any other pension benefits.
Benefits
A pension of ₹1,500/- per month is provided to eligible beneficiaries.
