About This Scheme
The "Marketing Assistance Scheme" was implemented by Karnataka Leather Industries Development Corporation Ltd, Govt of Karnataka. The scheme aims to empower SC leather artisans by enabling them to market their products through Lidkar Leather Emporia under the Lidkar brand. It helps artisans avoid exploitation by private dealers and provides regular procurement of their products based on demand. Objective: Regular procurement of products (once every 1-2 months) based on showroom demand. Branding and marketing through Lidkar Leather Emporia.
Eligibility
1. The applicant should be leather artisans. 1. The applicant should belongs to sub-castes Arundathiyar, Chammadiya, Chamar, Chambar, Chamagar, Madar, Madig, Madiga, Mini Madig, Jambavalu, Haralayya, Machigar, Mochigar, Mochi, muchi, Telugu Mochi, kamaati mocha, Rohidas, Dhor, kakkayya, Kankayya, Samagara, Samagar, Aadhi Anddra, Aadhi Dravida, Aadhi Karnataka among schedule castes. 1. The age of the applicant should be 18 years. 1. The applicant's annual family income should not exceed ₹30,000/- in rural areas and ₹25,000/- in urban areas. 1. The applicant or their family members must not have received benefits from other schemes, except training programs. 1. The applicant's family members should not be employed in government or semi-government organizations.
Benefits
- Financial assistance of ₹50,000/- to ₹1,00,000/- worth of procurement from each artisan.
