About This Scheme
The scheme "Male Goat Supply Scheme on Grant Basis" by the Animal Husbandry Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh aims to improve the breed of indigenous/local goats throughout the state. Through this scheme, one male goat of an improved breed (Jamnapari, Barbari, or Sirohi Bakra) is provided to goat farmers of all categories on a grant basis. The applications for this scheme are processed through a multi-level approval system involving Gram Sabha, Janpad Panchayat, and District Panchayat. The scheme is implemented across all districts of the state.
Eligibility
1. The applicant should be a resident of Madhya Pradesh. 1. The applicant should be actively involved in goat rearing. 1. The applicant must be a goat rearer of any category. 1. The applicant must possess a minimum of 5 goats.

Male Goat Package - One improved breed male goat: ₹7,500/- - Insurance coverage (2.75% sum insured for one year): ₹206/- - Mineral mixture: ₹394/- - Training booklet and monitoring card: ₹200/- - Total package value: ₹8,300/- Grant Component - Government contribution: 75% of total cost - Beneficiary contribution: 25% of total cost
