The scheme "Financial Assistance for Higher Studies" was launched by the Tea Tribes Welfare Department, Government of Assam. Eligibility

- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam. - The applicant must belong to the Tea Tribes and Adivasi community. - The applicant must be pursuing higher studies such as Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Engineering, and such other technical/higher education. - The applicant's family income must not exceed ₹5,00,000/- per annum. - The applicant should not be a Government Service holder. - Students studying through correspondence course are also eligible to apply.
