About This Scheme
The "Assistance to Pilgrims for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra" scheme was introduced by the Devasthan Department, Government of Rajasthan, on 1st April 2011. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial support to residents of Rajasthan who successfully complete the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Under this scheme, financial assistance of up to ₹1,00,000/- is granted to each pilgrim, with a maximum of 100 beneficiaries selected per year.
Eligibility
1. The applicant should be a native of Rajasthan. 1. The applicant should have successfully completed the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. 1. The applicant receives this grant only once in a lifetime. Note 1: 100 pilgrims are selected each year. If there are more applicants than available slots, selection is done through a lottery system. Note 2: After completing the trip, a certificate from the Ministry of External Affairs confirming the successful completion of the journey is required.
Benefits
> Financial Assistance - ₹1,00,000 per selected pilgrim after completing the Yatra. > Mode of Disbursement Direct transfer to the beneficiary’s bank account via account payee cheque/demand draft, depending on departmental discretion. > Note: - The Yatra must be completed through the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. - The benefit is available only once in a lifetime. - A maximum of 100 beneficiaries per year. - Selection via lottery if applications exceed the quota.
