Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (Jammu and Kashmir)
About This Scheme
Launched on 15th August 1995, the scheme "Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS)" is a pension scheme by the Social Welfare Department, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The scheme provides ₹1,000/- per month to BPL individuals aged 18 to 79 who have severe or multiple disabilities. Launched under the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP), the scheme aims to ensure social justice by providing financial support to the most vulnerable sections of society, fulfilling the Directive Principles of State Policy.
Eligibility
1. The applicant should be a resident of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. 1. The applicant should be a person with a disability. 1. The applicant's age should be between 18 and over 80 years. 1. The applicant should belong to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family. 1. The applicant should not be receiving pension benefits under any other social security scheme.
Benefits
Amount of Pension: The beneficiary will receive a monthly pension of ₹1000/-. Mode of Disbursement: The pension is disbursed to the beneficiary either through bank transfer or money order.
