About This Scheme

The “A Scheme to Provide Free Tablets to Std.12th Pass Students” scheme was implemented by the Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat. Under this scheme, provide free tablets to ST students who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination and are admitted to the first year of a graduate-level course in a recognized university are reimbursed for the token amount of ₹1,000 deposited for receiving tablets from the Education Department.

Eligibility

1. The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat. 1. The applicant should belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. 1. The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC/Std. 12) examination. 1. The applicant should be admitted to the first year of a graduate-level course in a recognized university.

Benefits

- Under the scheme, students in the 12th standard belonging to the Scheduled Caste category will receive a tablet by paying a token fee of ₹1,000/-.
