About This Scheme
The scheme āAssistance for Crop Losses Due to Wild Animal Attacksā is a sub-component of the umbrella scheme āCompensation for Loss of Life and Property Caused by Wild Animals in and Around Forest Areasā, which is implemented by the Department of Forest, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to farmers for crop losses caused by wild animals in forest areas and their surrounding regions, thereby mitigating economic losses and supporting farmersā livelihoods.
Eligibility
1. The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand. 1. The compensation is applicable for crop damage caused by wild elephants, wild boars, nilgai, kakar, sambar, chital, and monkeys.
