About This Scheme

The scheme “State Level Awards for Divyang Persons” has been implemented by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand, to honor the exceptional achievements and contributions of persons with disabilities in various fields. Under this scheme, a cash prize of ₹8,000/-, along with a medal and a certificate of appreciation, is awarded to outstanding individuals in categories such as disabled employees, outstanding sportspersons, and best self-employed service providers. The awards are distributed annually on the occasion of World Disability Day (December 3) to recognize and encourage excellence among persons with disabilities.

Eligibility

1. The applicant should be a resident of Uttarakhand. 1. The applicant should be a person with a disability. 1. The applicant should have verifiable records of achievements or work. 1. The applicant should be in any one of the following categories: - Differently-abled (Divyang) employee - Outstanding Sportsperson - Best Self-Employed Service Provider

Award Details: - An amount of ₹8000/- is given as a cash prize. - Medal and Certificate of Appreciation. Mode of Disbursement: - The amount disbursed through the cheque or bank draft at the award ceremony. Expected Time of Disbursement: - Awarded annually on December 3 (World Disability Day).
