Trekking in Forest Area (Scheduled Castes)

About This Scheme

The scheme "Trekking in Forest Area" by the Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to instill a deep love for nature, pristine landscapes, wild animals and birds, trees, mountains, springs, and ravines among the youth of the state by directly engaging them in a forest trekking experience. Under this initiative, a forest area rotation program is conducted for 100 selected young men and women, giving them immersive exposure to natural surroundings and biodiversity.

Eligibility

- The applicant must be a resident of Gujarat. - The applicant should belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category. - The applicant should be between 14 and 35 years of age.

Benefits

- Nature Immersion Experience: The selected beneficiaries will have the opportunity to participate in a guided forest trekking program designed to foster a love for nature and environmental awareness. - Exposure to Biodiversity: Participants will get firsthand experience of pristine natural sites including forests, wildlife, birds, trees, springs, mountains, and ravines.
