About This Scheme

The scheme “Assistance for Purchasing Study Materials for Medical and Engineering Students from Socially and Educationally Backward Classes” was launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to students from socially and educationally backward classes pursuing medical and engineering diploma and degree courses, in order to support their education and reduce their financial burden. Under this scheme, eligible students receive a one-time grant for purchasing study materials.

Eligibility

1. The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat. 1. The applicant should be a student belonging to the Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC) category. 1. The applicant should be pursuing a medical, engineering, or diploma/degree course within the state of Gujarat. 1. The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed ₹6,00,000/-.

Benefits

> Financial assistance per student: - For Medical Student: ₹10,000/- - For Engineering Student: ₹8,000/- - For Diploma Student: ₹3,000/-
