About This Scheme
The scheme “Machhali Palan” is implemented by the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority under the Department of Disaster Management, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial support to fishermen for repairing, reconstructing, and replacing damaged boats and nets due to disasters.
Eligibility
1. The applicant must be a fisherman from Uttarakhand. 1. Fishermen are provided assistance for the repair or replacement of damaged boats and for damaged or lost nets caused by natural disasters.
Benefits
Under this scheme, the following compensation is provided to fishermen for the repair or replacement of damaged boats and nets: - ₹6,000/- for the repair of partially damaged boats - ₹3,000/- for the repair of partially damaged nets - ₹15,000/- for the repurchase of completely damaged boats - ₹4,000/- for the repurchase of completely damaged nets An investment subsidy of ₹10,000/- per hectare is provided for fish seed farms.
